Asparagus season is one of the true culinary highlights of the year. We love them not only for their deliciousness, but their simplicity; all the best dishes with fresh asparagus are ready in a matter of minutes. Here is an Indian take on a simple dressing, adding both texture and aroma, to perfectly compliment that Springy freshness.

Grilled Asparagus Indian Style

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
– 1 bunch of freshissimo Asparagus
– 2 tablespoons of good quality extra virgin olive oil
– Half-lime
– A teaspoon of Silly sesame (or two if you’re extra cheeky)

Method:
Step 1 Marinate asparagus in the olive oil and a sprinkle of salt, and leave aside for 5 minutes.
Step 2 – Heat a griddle pan on medium heat, and grill the asparagus for two minutes on each side.
Step 3Place on plate, squeeze over half-lime, and sprinkle that crunchy and tasty Silly Sesame on top.
